Fine George III silver coffee pot of tapered baluster form with ornately cast swan neck spout. The domed lid with acorn finial. The body chased all over with flowers and scroll motifs. Original fruitwood double C scroll handle. The whole standing on a stepped pedestal foot. Ornately cast silver handle mounts with original brass fixing pins.
Marked to the body and to the inside of the lid for London 1768 by Thomas Wallis.
An extremely attractive 18C coffee pot in absolutely original condition. The hinge to the lid is good, the handle is firm in its mounts and the quality of silver workmanship is superb. There are very minor signs of wear and the very tip of the finial is fractionally off centre. The hallmarks are clearly struck and legible especially to the inside of the lid. Wonderful colour and patina.
