A Very Good Pair of Georgian Silver Table Candlesticks Sheffield 1820 by Smith, Tate, Hoult and Tate

£0

Very good pair of silver table candlesticks with a domed foot decorated with a  band of floral and foliate design. The tapered column rising to a rounded capital above two knops. The sconce with conforming foliate band.

Marked to the foot for Sheffield 1820 by Smith, Tate, Hoult and Tate and each sconce fully marked as well.

These are an extremely attractive pair of Regency candlesticks in first class order. Very minor signs of wear to the highpoints of the decoration and small pinprick holes in one or two places. They both stand true  and cleanly on a tabletop and retain their original cloth  covered wooden bases. The hallmarks clearly legible to both bases and both sconces. The base  above the foliate band is crested to each  with a lion holding an anchor.

Height: 9 inches
