A very fine pair of silver salvers or waiters of circular form with a cast silver border of floral pattern bouquets. The central plate with an armorial of two birds on a branch surrounded by foliate and floral arabesques. The whole standing on three ornate pierced scroll feet.
Marked to the undersides for Edward, Edward Jr and John and William Barnard. One for the last year of William IV's reign in 1837 and the other in the first year of Victoria's reign 1838. Probably assayed within a month or so of each other.
A very attractive pair of early 19C silver waiters . No damage or repair. Both stand true with very minor signs of wear to both. The crest is clear and the hallmarks quite legible.
