A very good Georgian silver coffee pot of baluster form with a cast swan-neck spout, pedestal foot and ebonised handle. The domed lid with a spiral finial.
Marked to the body for London 1763 by William Grundy. Marked to the lid with the lion passant. Crested to each side with a stag’s head.
A fine coffee pot in original condition with no damage or repairs. Very minor signs of wear throughout. The hallmarks to the body are slightly rubbed, especially the maker’s mark. The handle is firm and the hinge lid is good.
