Ebonised fruit would handle of traditional scroll form with thumb piece.  Original silver pins to the mounts. Leaf decorated swan neck spout. Decorated to the body with foliate and  floral designs and the cartouche to one side engraved with the crest of a Dragon rising from a  fleur-de-lis.

The pot is in superb original condition without any signs of damage or repair. The handle is excellent,  firm in its mounts and with no chips or splits. The silver is of good robust gauge and the hinge is very good. Very good colour and patina. The hallmarks clearly legible to both base and lid. Fractional lean to the wrythen finial.
