A Very Fine Pair of George II Silver Salvers London 1733 by Denis Langton

£0

A very fine pair of George II silver salvers of circular form with a moulded pie-crust edge.

The central ground with an armorial surrounded by intricate chased arabesques. The whole standing on four scroll feet.

Clearly marked to both for London 1733 by Denis Langton. They both also have scratch weight inscribed to the undersides: "45 oz (ounces) 15dwt (pennyweight) ye pair" (see photo).

A truly lovely pair of very early salvers in absolutely superb original condition with no damage or repair. Excellent gauge silver throughout.

The marks are clear, slightly more rubbed to one salver than the other. Good colour and superb patina.
