A Very Good Silver Seven Bar Toast Rack London 1815 by Joseph Angell

£0

Very fine and unusually shaped George III silver seven bar toast rack  on a cast silver base with shell and gadrooned  decoration the whole standing  on four decorated Lions paw feet.  Centre with a loop carrying handle.

Clearly marked to the top of the base for London 1815 by Joseph Angell.

This is a highly unusual shape for a silver toast rack and is very attractive for that reason alone. The piece has no signs of any damage or repair it stands well on the table top and shows very little sign of wear.  The hallmarks are clear although a little rubbed unsurprisingly .The makers were an important family of Goldsmiths and as a result this is one of the finer toast racks you are likely to find.
