An exceptionally fine pair of large silver sauce boats with a cut card rim and a flying C-scroll handle. Each standing on three shell formed legs and shell pad feet. 
 
 Both marked to the underside for London 1752 by David Bell and Richard Mills. 
 
 These are both in excellent original condition with no signs of repair. Both stand true on a flat surface with no more than very minor expected wear.  The hallmarks clear, one sauce boat having slightly more rubbed marks than the other. 
 
 An extremely attractive pair of good mid 18th century sauce boats of large size in first class order,  which would make an excellent and elegant addition to any dining table. Excellent colour and patina.
