An Exceptional Pair of George III Silver Sauce Boats London 1771
A very good pair of large size late 18th century silver sauce boats of typical form. With leaf capped scroll handles and gadrooned rims. Standing on a shaped pedestal foot with gadrooned edge. Both pieces are crested to one side with a dragon wielding a sword emerging from a tower.
Marked to the body for London 1771 by William Skeen.
These are a very fine pair in first class order of unusually good weight and size in absolutely original condition with no signs of damage or repairs. Wonderful colour and patina.
